I went to return a parcel at Maureen’s and during our chat I was pleased to hear she did travel money. Within half an hour I was back to order our euros and it was ready to be collected the following morning. It saved me having to go all the way to town and Maureen’s helpful services made the process super easy. Happy to support and use our little friendly post office

Can't recommend this Post Office highly enough. I have been at a bit of a loss since the one in Haltwhistle closed. Going to Carlisle and Brampton. I didn't even realise there was one closer to me at Halton Lea Gate. Went there today, it is a bit hard to find on your first visit as it is an annex to a house. I didn't realise it wasn't a full service post office so I went without an envelope/bag thinking I could buy one there. Maureen the Post Mistress was so amazing. She found some brown paper and helped me package my items. What a total star. She was so friendly and professional. This is now my go to post office and the warm welcome is totally part if its charm. We need places like these that are the heart of country life and especially for our older members of the community. I will just remember to bring my packaging with me next time.
